Services.

If you have trees that need management we have the professionals to help you.  We provide extensive services with our primary services listed here.

Tree Inventories

Tree inventories catalog the trees on your project site or property.  Species, diameter, dripline or extent of canopy, health and condition, is the primary data collected for each tree.  A report can be provided solely on the inventory to identify species found onsite including rare or endangered trees, and identify vegetative concerns to aid in preliminary site plan development.  A tree inventory can also later be included in the overall Arborist Report or Tree Preservation Plan.

Butternut Health Assessment

Butternut trees are listed and protected under the Endangered Species Act in Ontario. We are certified by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry to complete Butternut Health Assessments. If a tree is encountered within a desired impact area we will complete the required assessments and reports and help you understand what is required and what is permittable by law.

Tree Health and Condition Assessments

Tree health is important when determining risk to people and property. Damage to a tree, or poor tree health that could result in a hazard can be serious.  Arborists can assess trees and determine if tree removal is necessary, or maybe just pruning and monitoring may be recommended to retain a trees for years to come.

Arborist Reports/Tree Preservation Plans

These reports are prepared to support project design and construction approvals as required by approving agencies such as municipalities or regional staff.  Trees identified within the project site will be reviewed against project design and grading to determine tree impacts. Arborists work closely with project team design staff to retain healthy trees where available. Arborists provide recommendations for tree management throughout the project cycle where needed

Tree Valuation

What is the value of a tree? The worth of a tree can be determined a number of ways including the benefits it provides, or by cost to replace it. This type of service is useful in situations such as litigation due to property damage, realty purposes in determining property value, or pure curiosity.  A tree assessment is completed followed by applying collected data into a calculation specific to the purpose in determining the value.  Following industry standards a value is then determine.

Permitting - By-law Compliance

Municipalities often have public and/or public tree by-laws in place to protect trees.  An arborist report and replacement plan is often required to accompany the permit application.  We can complete the entire process along with liaise with the municipality and obtain approval for your permit.

Construction Administration

As a result from recommendations in a Tree Preservation Plan or as a requirement from a municipality or governing body, construction monitoring may be needed on your project.  Our services include site inspections for tree monitoring pre/post or during construction,  and construction impact analysis.  We will be able to provide assurance that trees are being protected as required, or if construction impacts occur we can provide further management recommendations.
